HypnoBirthing® FAQs
Everything you need to know about purchases, invoices and billings. Can’t find an answer? Get in touch →
What is HypnoBirthing®?
HypnoBirthing® is a childbirth education method that uses breathing, deep relaxation, visualisation, and self-hypnosis techniques to help mothers experience a calmer and more confident birth.
Is HypnoBirthing® safe?
Yes. HypnoBirthing® uses natural relaxation techniques and is considered safe for low-risk and medically assisted births.
When should I start HypnoBirthing® classes?
It is generally recommended to begin classes between 20–30 weeks of pregnancy to allow time to practice the techniques.
Will I be unconscious during HypnoBirthing®?
No. Mothers remain fully aware, alert, and in control during labor while being deeply relaxed.
Can HypnoBirthing® help reduce fear of childbirth?
Yes. One of the primary goals of HypnoBirthing® is to reduce fear, anxiety, and tension associated with labor and birth.
Can I still use pain medication if needed?
Absolutely. HypnoBirthing® supports informed choices, and techniques can still be helpful even if medical interventions or pain relief are used.
Can HypnoBirthing® be used for C-section births?
Yes. The breathing and relaxation techniques can also help mothers preparing for planned or emergency cesarean births.
Does my partner need to attend the classes?
Partner participation is highly encouraged, as they learn valuable support techniques for labor and birth.
How many sessions are included in the program?
A typical HypnoBirthing® course includes 5 sessions, each lasting approximately 2–2.5 hours.
